It's a relly nice album AND nice cover ;) I must say I never heard of this Band ! I made a search and realised that they began to sing in 1956 !!! They made also a cameo in the Dr No James Bond movie Thanks a lot for this discover for me
greetings Chris! ... i discovered Byron Lee back in '93 or so i think, when on holiday in Bermuda as a teenager - i bought a cassette of his - was a hard choice as they all had scantily clad ladies on the front in their swimsuits, etc ... i am a big fan of his soca/calypso music, not so much into his more modern stuff ... i have plenty of his vinyl to listen to (& rip), & plenty of other soca/calypso artists too (including Poser, which i am about to post!! recommended!)
'ýlowek scavel-cronek' is Cornish for 'musical mushroom'
on this blog i hope to bring you stuff you cannae get in the shops - random vinyl, mixes off the radio, concerts off the tv ..... enjoy!
some of my early vinyl rips were quiet or badly processed - if any need to be reripped, please leave a comment on that post & i may sort it at some point! (i am extrememly busy though with a newborn baby (edit... he's a rampaging toddler now!) .... i no longer use any 'noise removal' nonsense!! ................... i am still learning, so any help is appreciated ;)
edit... new vinyl rip are done with Nero Soundtrax ... much better program than Audacity i reckons, & the sound is much much much better & louder!
...if any files are dead, please leave a note in the comment of that post & i'll try & maybe sort it out at some point
...music is here for evaluation purposes, & to introduce people to stuff they haven't experienced before ... i buy shitloads of music & i strongly encourage all visitors to go out to charity shops, boot sales, etc, & buy stuff! ...if you don't want your stuff posted here, please leave a comment on the relevant post & i'll sort it ...cheers & peace ;)
