Airbrush Nails and Nail Art

Going for a party? Your loveliest dress, shoes, accessories – you have everything organized to make you look the most beautiful woman in the crowd, but, what about your hands? Your hands and nails need as much as attention as your face. Every woman wants long, shiny, healthy nails and to fulfill their wishes, nail art has emerged as the most popular medium to enhance nail beauty. Add spunk to your nails with this very popular art. Simply put, nail art is the art of designing and beautifying nails. It is believed to have developed in Japan almost a decade ago. Infact, there are indications that a few Indian tribes also decorated their nails. It is a highly creative art and of late, has come to garner a huge fan following. Simple nail paint would no longer do for the hip and jazzy youth. Nail art lets you flaunt more than a single shade and various funky and cool patterns on your nails. The patterns can vary from animal prints to flowery designs. You can also get one matching your favourite dress or your bag. The process is lengthy and requires great amount of skill and patience. Firstly, the nails are cleaned and wiped dry. Next, a base coat is applied. White base coat is preferred over a transparent one as the design looks absolutely magnificent when applied over white paint. Activation polish is next in line which facilitates quick drying of the design. The desired design is finally painted on the nails. The process is rounded off with a coat of varnish to increase the life span of the paint. The art is very expensive and can burn a big hole in your pocket. So we give you the option of turning your house into your very own

personal nail salon. We are not asking you to paint your nails using the various brushes which, of course, are not meant for the common woman. Remember how you used to spray paint your drawing books when you were a kid? Now simply change the canvas and instead, make your nails your drawing book. This art is known as “Air brushing” and can be easily done using a few items. All you need is an airbrush machine, 2-3 nail paints, few nail stencils and acetone. Start off by cleaning all grime and dirt from your nails. Next, apply a base coat, preferable white. Place the stencil on your nails and use the airbrush gun to paint the design. Stencils come in various designs and we suggest, start by using a simple pattern. Now, gently remove it and remove the spilt paint using acetone. Put a top coat to keep the design on for long. So now you’ve become a self-proclaimed nail artist. Invite friends for a session and have them drooling for more. You can also use accessories on your nails to make your nails look even funkier. Tattoos, stickers, glitters are used along with the traditional nail paint to jazz up nails. Infact, nail art has gone a step further. People are also opting for nail piercing. Rings and tiny jewellery have become a fad amongst fashion lovers.

Long Sleeved Dresses

The Long and Short of Long Sleeved Dresses

Wedding dresses are becoming more trendy these days. Not long ago, long sleeved dresses were considered the most appropriate for weddings. But of late, dresses with short sleeves, spaghetti straps or those that are sleeveless are definitely getting more popular. Many brides now seem to prefer baring their arms. However, a long sleeve wedding dress is still a good option. Now why would anyone want to have a long sleeve wedding dress?

Classic History
Wedding dresses have been around for as long as weddings themselves. In the olden days, long sleeved dresses were the only option that women had when it came to choosing a dressing style for their weddings. Modesty was given top priority in medieval times which mandated women to cover their arms completely. Some sleeves were even long enough to cover the fingers. Since these styles were popular in the olden times, they were considered more of a fashion statement rather than being looked upon as being overly conservative. Materials such as velvet and damask were used to show off a person's wealth. Trimmings of silk and satin were added to make the dress look grander. Some dresses even had their sleeves touching the floor. So in one way, it was more to do with fashion rather than looking modest.

Modern Elegance
A contemporary long sleeved wedding dress need not resemble medieval attire however. In fact, long sleeved dresses today can look trendy and at the same time project a modest and ladylike image of the bride wearing them. These dresses can truly bring out a form of elegance that short-sleeved dresses rarely can.

Basic Purpose
One of the basic strategies of good clothing design is to draw attention away from those parts of the body that are not quite in shape and to redirect them to other areas that one is more proud of. For instance, if a person's hips are too bulky or too thin, they can wear long sleeved dresses to draw attention away from those problem areas to the arms and upper body instead. These dresses are also an ideal solution for women with bigger arms or square shoulders.

Modern Modesty
Some brides would like to give top priority to modesty and prefer to choose long sleeved dresses. But such dresses need not look old fashioned. Instead, to add a very modern look to the dress, the sleeves can be made of a much lighter mesh material than the other parts of the dress. The neckline can also be altered according to the bride's preference to make it look trendier.

For All Seasons
If the wedding is in winter, one might prefer to use the same material for the bodice as well as the sleeves to feel warm. But that does not mean that long sleeved dresses are only appropriate for winter. They can be worn in summer as well, but probably the sleeves can be shortened to a 3/4 length. Lighter materials like organza or chiffon can be used when the wedding is scheduled during warmer weather.

Now that he's finally popped the question your thoughts wander to your wedding dress. Will a cheap formal dress be good enough for a wedding? It's your very special day and you want it to be perfect, but you're also stuck with a budget, and so are your bridesmaids-to-be and your mother. Wedding Formal Dresses
You will find many places, especially on the Internet where you find wedding gowns and bridesmaid's dresses in all kinds of styles. When you shop around a little you will see a wide array of options; beautiful dresses where no-one would guess at their price tag.

You'd be amazed how much elegance you can achieve for comparatively very little money. A cheap formal dress or wedding dress can start as low as US $80.00, with not a frumpy thread in it. Sometimes you can also garner decent discounts if the whole wedding party shops at the same place.

The times that cheap equaled bad style and quality are a thing of the past. You don't have to endanger your life's savings anymore to look absolutely gorgeous on your wedding day in a cheap formal dress.
Wedding Formal Dresses
The same is true for bridesmaid's dresses. Gone are the times when bridesmaid's dresses had a style that you would definitely never wear again, ever, after the wedding was over. Nowadays most bridesmaids' dresses look like made for models and most cheap formal dresses fall into that category. They are beautiful and you can use them for all kinds of different events after the wedding is a fond memory. Most of the time they are even advertised as Bridesmaid's/Prom/Wedding Party/Homecoming/Party dress, so one can use them for all types of occasions.

Even the mother of the bride (and the mother of the groom too, for that matter) doesn't have to stay behind. Beautiful cheap formal dresses in every style and for every type of body are available at this price range. And what's also nice, many of these stores, brick-and-mortar or online, have tailoring services available, in case a dress needs any adjustments.

A cheap formal dress is also a great option for the junior bridesmaids and the flower girls. They start as low as US $50.00 and many also combine with the bride's wedding dress. Most of these dresses are so cute and pretty, you'd think they must cost a fortune, when in reality they are very affordable.

Wedding Formal Dresses
While we are dressing the whole female part of the wedding party, let's not forget the groom, the best man and the groom's men. What about them? Well, how about tuxedos that make you look smashing for under US $200.00? That way one wouldn't have to deal with a rental (always keeping the budget in mind), but the gentlemen could all look very handsome in their own tuxedos.

So, back to the question if a cheap formal dress would be good enough for a wedding? The answer is most definitely yes. The whole wedding party can dress to the nines even on a limited budget. That way you'll have more left for your flowers, decoration and the wedding cake and even a honey moon.

Color Club Front Row Diva

Sometimes there are situations when we just can´t wear all those crazy colors that we love (work, exams at university and so on). Then we wear polishes such as this one. Even though Front Row Diva is not something with a wow factor I think it is still very pretty and not at all boring. It is a light pinkish gray and it covers very nicely in two coats (I used three just to be sure). If you look closely you can see some brush strokes but they are not visible normally. What do you think and what is your favourite polish for such occasions?
