Nail trauma.
But the reason for the lack of posts is because my nails are so thin and damaged!! I remember when I was in my natural nails portion of my course and my nails were so long, thick and happy...must have been the weekly manicures that I was getting in class ;) And they'd be fine if I were only getting artificials put on once and then fills for upkeep, but we've been applying a full set, then removing them the next week and then applying them again the next day and then removing them the next week, apply, remove, apply...**sigh** And bear in mind, we're all better at it now, but when we first started I think we were filing our natural nails too much.
Ah well, we have to learn somehow hey? Haha, but I can't wait. One last set to put on since for our final exam we have to apply a set of artificials on one of our classmates (one hand gel and one hand acrylic) and then I think I'll get one of the girls at work to remove them for me and maybe I'll treat myself to a nice manicure and a gel overlay for strength. I swear, the air hits my nails and they bend backwards. So I put a clear layer of soak off gel on my nails just for this week so hopefully that will help them . I swear they've grown already! I'll have to soak 'em off though beofre Sunday...arg.
Have any of you guys dabbled in soak off gel colours? At the nail salon maybe? Just curious.
Anyway, I feel like I'm getting a hang of things at work now. I've finally got it to a point where I remember all the different services we do and how to do them...now to remember how much they cost. Lol, it's been so long since I've worked (not counting being a stay at home mom cuz trust. That is work, too) so I feel more comfortable every day I'm there.
I can't wait to get out of school, cuz that means that I'll have 2 extra days to play with my nail stuff and get some more pics on here for you!

If you are a nail tech, the ready to use nail art is surely a plus for you if you want to save on your and clients time without having to exercise too much of your artistic skills. As a nail tech you should definitely stock up on fimo art which comes handy sliced or in the form of fimo cane sticks which you will need to warm and then cut with a sharp blade and apply on nails. Fimo art is available in animal, flower, marine, abstract, cartoon, logos and all possible types your client may want to wear on her nails.

They are really great on gel and acrylic nail systems and a professional nail tech can make your nails look like a million dollars by suggesting the appropriate jewels.
Nail techs can also offer their clients design nail tips which are nothing but pre designed and colored nails. They are safe, thin, waterproof, durable and very natural looking and are a great choice for your weekend holiday or a festive occasion or even your marriage. The choice is endless.

Konad Stamping Nail Art- 3ECWTWBVEUUJ
Konad has made it easier for nail enthusiasts like myself to decorate nails through their stamping nail art kit. Konad stamping nail art lets you design your nails with so much variety. You can change the design of your nails as often as you like, with so many designs to choose from! The personal kit allows you to create fabulous nails on your own without visiting a nail salon. It's cheaper than going to a nail salon and having your nail art done by a professional. With Konad stamping kit, you can make your nails look great by yourself!
Here's a step by step procedure on how to do your own stamping nail art:
1. Choose the nail art design from any of Konad's image templates.
2. Apply Konad's special nail polish over the design that you chose. Make sure that you cover the entire design.
3. Scrape across the image plate with the scraper to remove excess polish. I don't have a Konad template holder yet but any flat stable surface seems to do just fine. Make sure you scrape until the edge of the plate so that your stamper will only pick up the design.
4. Press the stamper firmly over the design.
5. Stamp firmly the image on your nail with a gentle rolling motion or by simply pressing it down. Before stamping, you can make sure that you've picked up the design entirely and neatly. It's important that you stamp the design as quickly as you can to your nail before it dries.
