Hi all!
A couple of days ago, I showed you a bloody manicure and today I have a review for you of the basecolor that I used: Essie Not Just a Pretty Face.
Essie Not Just a Pretty Face, four coats with one coat of Nubar Diamont in daylight. Not Just a Pretty Face is a pinkish peachy-ish jelly and needs four coats for opacity. It's a pretty color, definitely office appropriate is you ask me. Well, that's it for the good news.. Now the bad news: I hate this polish. Application was bad, the structure was a bit thick but still runny so there was polish flooding my cuticles. I needed four coats for opacity and those coats just would not dry. Never! I used Nubar Diamont, but still the polish wouldn't dry. Yugh! Plus, if you look at my nails in the pictures.. It looks like I have an enormous layer of polish laying on my nails. Bleh!
No, this is not even a pretty face.. *sigh* What do you think of Essie's Not Just a Pretty Face? Do you own it yourself? If so, am I doing something wrong or is it just the polish? It looked so nice on all swatches I've seen!
About the Nailart contest: The winner will be announced tonight!
Thanks for stopping by :)

Nicole by OPI Holiday Magic Collection
I have the Nicole by OPI Holiday Magic Collection for the 2010 holiday to show you today! The collection consists of four colors, two shimmers, and two glitters.
I know that Thanksgiving Day is not even here yet, but I'm really in the holiday spirit. Christmas is my favorite holiday of all times.
Bring On the Tinsel is a clear base with silver glitter as its main glitter and green, red, blue glitters mixed with it. Very pretty and very sparkly. And I love things that sparkle :)
Spark My Mistletoe is a clear base with red glitter and octagon shaped like glitters
Stuck In The Chimney is a chutney red shimmer with a very teeny tiny slight hint of gold
Index and Ring: Bring on the Tinsel over Stuck In a Chimney
Middle and Pinky: Spark My Mistletoe over Stuck In A Chimney
Kiss Me at Midnight is a dark cherry wood red shimmer
Index and Ring: Bring on the Tinsel over Kiss me at midnight
Middle and Pinky: Spark my mistletoe over kiss me at midnight

Spark My Mistletoe really brings out the red shimmer in Kiss Me At Midnight. Gorgeous!
My favorites are Kiss Me At Midnight and Bring On the Tinsel!
The formula for these were excellent. Had no problems with them at all. The two shimmers took only two coats to be fully opaque. As for the glitters, it took 3 coats. Application applied smoothly, no streaks no fuss.
Which ones do you like? Will you be getting these?
(These were sent to me for review)
Snow Nail Art Designs
You need a shiny metallic shade of nail polish which would serve as the base coat. Take white acrylic paint and by using a thin brush paint a dot on the nail. From this dot, paint 8 lines or spikes, extending from the dot in a circular fashion. Where the spikes end, draw two more spikes, something like one spike branching into another. So you will have a snow flake. You can also paint half snowflakes on the edges of the nails, and to give it a more attractive look, you could also paint one of the snowflakes in blue. In case you do not have metallic nail polish, you could even use blue acrylic paint for the basal coat. However, you will have to use white paint for the snowflakes.

Givenchy Pschitt Lemon
My first experience with a Givenchy polish. This is a great summer shade for those of you who don´t mind sheer polishes. On the pictures are four coats and there is still VNL. I am not very happy about this polish, nothing for me. Considering the price (17 dollars for 5,5ml!) I think it is not wort it.

LAST DAYS OF SUMMER
This is a handpainted design that was inspired by a Young Nails mentor Christie. I used purple acrylic and added 2 colors of purple mylar for the base. I painted the black and white design with nail art pens from miginailart.com
I love to do Calligraphy but I never thought I would be doing it on nails! Why not combine my only 2 talents to create some fabulous Hope and Love :)
OPI gel polish in opi ink :)
This is a mixture I created myself for my fabulous client that loooves pink. This color is officially called Cindie #2.
These are officially my first fall nails of 2010. I am excited for Halloween nails. It is the one thing that can cheer me up about summer almost being over.
Ooooh I had fun doing these nails. I used some black dazzlers from artglitter.com I mixed those with acrylic and made a little swirl on the nail. I also used blue acrylic and added blue mylar. Then I painted my new favorite design (inspired by Christie from Young Nails). Fabulous darling!
These nails have quite a bit going on. I actually had no idea how they were going to come together until right up to the end. I did every other nail different. I added the polish accents to tie everything together. Very fun!

Illamasqua Body Electrics Collection (Summer 2010) Nail Polish - Swatches and Review
I am sure you all know Illamasqua, a brand that started up in November 2008 and since then has been a phenomenal sucess. They lanched a brand new collection for this summer, which comes with three new polish shades. I have to say, that I really love blue and purple and I was so excited about them. So let´s have a look at the swatches, my thoughts after that. I swatched all the polishes with no base and no top coat. Oh and yes, I really enjoyed swatching these, so this post is picture heavy :)
edit: I also made a video of the swatches.

PRISM
Described as iridescent blue and that is what it is. I am sure this is meant as a top coat, but still I swatched it. On the pictures I have four coats. Applied like a dream.
I have a new love! I thought I would like this beautiful creme lilac, but it is much better than I dreamed. Applied so nicely, no streaks. I have two coats, which covered perfectly.
JO’MINA with PRISM
This is so cool. I just don´t have the words to describe, so enjoy the pictures.
Tohle je prostě úžasná kombinace. Nemám slov, takže si radši užijte fotky.
FORCE
A bright royal blue creme. If you use a thicker coat, you can go just with one. It is very pigmented. I used two thinner coats and again, great formula.
FORCE with PRISM
These two look great together. Prism gives the base polish a lot of depth. I love it in the sun.
Skvělá kombinace, moc jim to dohromady sluší. Prism dodá podkladovému laku hloubku. Miluju ho hlavně na slunci.
I don´t want to write an essay about how gorgeous the colors are. I think the pictures speak for themselves. I love this collection. It has a purple and a great top coat to play with. What else could I wish for? The price of the polishes is a bit higher, but you get exactly what you pay for. You can buy the polishes here for £13.00 each. And don´t forget to look at the other cool stuff that is in this collection.
P.S. I will do comparison pictures soon.

ORLY Cosmic FX Collection
Today I have the Orly's Cosmic FX collection. This collection is freaking AMAZING. That's all I have to say. But it is by far the hardest collection to capture in picture. These have to be seen in person to appreciate the beauty. And I'm sure majority of you already have these in hands? lol I'm just very late in posting these. But I've tried my best
Below: Space Cadet. It is a brown, green, purple duo-chrome. Very strong duo-chrome. My first picture is in natural lights and shows the duo-chrome at its best. Second picture is in an angle to show the green. And third picture is in artificial light which shows the brownish purple. And last picture is in direct sunlight.
Below: Galaxy Girl. It is a plumish purple with silver and turquoise blue flecks. First picture is under natural light which shows most of the colors. Second picture is in direct sunlight, and last picture is under artificial lights.
Below: Lunar Eclipse. A vibrant blue with silver flecks and slight purple/pink duo-chrome. First picture under artificial lights shows all the blue. Second picture in direct sunlight and last picture is natural light to show the slight pink and purple, which is barely noticeable in the picture.
Below: Halley's Comet. A turquoise with silver flecks. Very nice and shimmery, almost metallic like.
Below: It's Not Rocket Science. A swampy green with silver flecks. Yes, same as China Glaze Zombie Zest, and SpaRitual Optical Illusion. But I *feel* that this one is a brighter green.
Below: Out of This World. Vampy purple with silver and purple flecks.
Formula on these were perfect. All of them were done under three coats, though it was good with two. But I like it to have more depths to photo better and look better. I have a little more patience when it comes to my nails. I had no problems with application at all. No mess no fuss. My favorite is Space Cadet, Galaxy Girl, and Lunar Eclipse. The three duo-chromes in this collection, what do you know? Haha.
Well that's all I have for today, enjoy your weekend!
